I love the Underdogs. You know, the people who are not supposed to make it? The screw ups. The bad news bears. THESE ARE MY PEOPLE. Even more fun is the “Perceived Underdogs”. Perceived Underdogs are Underdogs because they are not understood, or they are underestimated. Right now, I feel like Christians are “Perceived Underdogs”. But guess what…the upset is coming.

I LOVE THIS IDEA RIGHT HERE! Servolution. And I think it is SO DOPE that churches all over the countries have joined the Servolution. I have been getting Texts and Tweets from friends who are partaking. From FREE BREAKFAST in Nasvhille, to a STRIP CLUB MINISTRY in the ATL…Christians are passing on guilting people into salvation and are actually getting into peoples lives and living the love.

Matthew says: Love God and Love Others. Stop making it hard. Stop making it about you. Stop making it about our thing. LOVE PEOPLE. Love them early, love them often, keep loving them even when you get successful. Love them when they disappoint you. Love them when they win Love them when they lose. When they screw up and and they get it right….LOVE THEM. Love…thats all

Most of you are believers, some are even pastors. This is just a reminder.

I got an email today. It was from my Dad. He had to go to Wal Mart. He saw this guy, and gave the man some money. By the way…

the man was a soldier, he fought for your freedom and mine
he is the son of a mother and father
he may be a brother to someone
he could be a dad
he is asking for money to get him to Monday. Living for Monday when his veterans check arrives. Just enough to get through. Nothing luxurious, just a meal.

“Anyone who sets himself up as a believer by talking a good game is self-deceived. this kind of believer is full of hot air and only hot air. A real believer, the kind that pass muster before God the Father believes: to reach out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard against corruption from the godless world.” :: James 1:26-27

Not your church. Not your ministry. Not your friend. Not your family. What have YOU done? What have I done? Lets make JUSTICE WORK!

9“This is the kind of fast day I’m after:
to break the chains of injustice
get rid of exploitation in the workplace,
   free the oppressed,
   cancel debts
.
What I’m interested in seeing you do is:
sharing your food with the hungry,
inviting the homeless poor into your homes,
putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad,
being available to your own families.

Do this and the lights will turn on,
and your lives will turn around at once.
Your righteousness will pave your way.
The God of glory will secure your passage.
Then when you pray, God will answer.
You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, ‘Here I am.’

9-12If you get rid of unfair practices,

   quit blaming victims,
quit gossiping about other people’s sins,

If you are generous with the hungry
and start giving yourselves to the down-and-out,
Your lives will begin to glow in the darkness,
your shadowed lives will be bathed in sunlight.
I will always show you where to go.
I’ll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—
   firm muscles, strong bones.
You’ll be like a well-watered garden,
a gurgling spring that never runs dry.
You’ll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew,
rebuild the foundations from out of your past.
You’ll be known as those who can fix anything,
restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate,
   make the community livable again.
13-14“If you watch your step on the Sabbath
and don’t use my holy day for personal advantage,
If you treat the Sabbath as a day of joy,
God’s holy day as a celebration,
If you honor it by refusing ‘business as usual,’  (buck the status quo)
making money, running here and there—
Then you’ll be free to enjoy God!
Oh, I’ll make you ride high and soar above it all.
I’ll make you feast on the inheritance of your ancestor Jacob.”
   Yes! God says so!

Are you ready? God is calling us to action. Each of the things God is saying here is action. You have to do something. We have to do something. This is our time. This is our generation….Justice Works.

What a great day. A day to celebrate our faith. I never thought I would post a heavy blog on a day like today until I checked my text messages from my friend Andy. Andy sent me a text about this site. Invest the 5 minutes and check this out. Now I am a little perplexed because there are no viral ways to promote this cause, and there is not an action point other than signing up to the email list. There will be a concert but there has to be more. There are more slaves today than any time in the history of the world….THAT IS UNBELIEVABLE. Take the time, go visit the sight. Get educated. We have to do something.

If you care about the future of the “Christian” church. if you care about the poor. If you care about making a difference with your life, watch these videos and contemplate on how you can do something to affect the world you live in…if we are “Christians” than we better start living like this rock star.

If you are a pastor, you work in the ministry, or you have any desire to be a leader for our “cause”, PLEASE watch this and help take part. Talk about the injustice. Educate on the ability for us to change the world…REALLY change the world. Changing the world is so much more than a sermon, a congregation, a title. Changing the world is about living GRACE.
