Sometimes in a effort to help invoke change you can get in the way of others growth. this week I offended someone, unintentionally, because I allowed myself to get in the flesh, to get overly excited, and by trying to help.

You can never help, lead, or create an atmosphere for change and innovation if you do not allow people room to still be who they are. You can not turn a ship on a dime, you have to allow the process to take time. I know this, yet I still pushed to hard. Funny thing is, I did not mean to do so. Not only did I not mean to, I did not even realize I was doing it until after it had been done. SUCKS. I once heard you do not fail tests God put in front of you, but sometimes you have to take the test again…looks like I will be taking that test again. bummer.

Hey, have a great weekend friends. Enjoy fall, enjoy the ones and the things you love. LIVE LIFE!

Success is a funny thing. You will rarely find success if you do not love what you are working on. If you do not love it, stop. Find YOUR thing. Stop wasting your time, and the time of those around you. It is out there, GO GET IT.

For me, I think there are a handful of things that you can do to test if you are in love with what you are doing:

  • Are you committed to being a problem solver or finding excuses?
  • Do you get excited about what you get to do, or dread dealing with what you have to do?
  • Do you strive to be the absolute best at what you are doing, or are you willing to settle for status quo?
  • Are you passionate or complacent?
  • Even when things are hard, do you find excitement in “getting the opportunity to…..(insert what you do here).
  • Do you see more problems or more promise?

I have a friend who knew it was time to move on. He did not know where, but he knew he had to move. He took a step out, walked away from something he built, and now is happy ‘living his dream.’ You can do it. If you believe in it, if you are passionate about it, if you are ready to start trying to achieve it…GO!

Is that a nickname or a sir name?

What would happen if my man JAY jumped in the studio and put Toby Mac and Israel in a blender? Wanna find out? ALBUM STREETS IN MARCH, do not sleep kids.

Check out the videos below. For more behind the scenes on this hotness, go check out Jay’s blog. Jay has a must read blog. Props to Jay and KingCincinnati for the behind the scenes footage.

America, circa 2009. Young man (approaching middle aged) in his suburban home can not blog, send email, social network, surf or work due to a loss of cable and internet. In a shocking twist of irony, his HD works like a champ, yet regular tv and internet is out. Odd. Man is approaching panic and has to resort to his somewhat malfunctioning blackberry. Please, raise a prayer to the heavens that those responsible or such a downturn in lifestyle would do what is right and correct this problem, soon. Oh the humanity.
