welcome back to the blogosphere
STOP THE HATE MAIL! i have returned to blog. i have a gazillion things in my head but i have to clear though some of them before i ever get them to the keyboard or paper.

1. the reason i was gone was because easter for calvary is like the super bowl so i was working hard the week of easter. the week after easter i had a TON of personal things going on, and needed to spend some time with my fam. so there you have it.
2. i got a new bible, it is a message bible and it is rocking my world. finally, i can understand what is going on (haha).

NOW FOR THE MEAT and the reason you read this anyway. i doubt is to hear about my life, and more about dancing in my head.
For the past few days i have really been chasing the thought about embracing every moment of life. why get upset over things we can not control or change, even the stuff that matters. I am not saying you should not care, I care to much about a lot of things, but it is VERY important that you enjoy your life. “Smell the roses.” embrace what is happening around you. This thought was driven home today when I went to a memorial service for a friend who had passed. He was an older man, a good man, that left a lot of memories. @ that moment I knew this was the subject for my blog tonight. for the past 8 days i have been trying to not trip on the little things but embrace the moments. take mental snap shots. i remember while watching Elizabeth Town that the girl would take a picture with her fingers of things so she could remember the moment. like tonight, my daughter was walking around with my ipod on, singing tru dogg at the top of her lungs. rather than tell her to be quite, or keep it down, i choose to embrace the moment, get the camera, and keep a record of her cuteness. or earlier in the evening when i went out to water the lawn, my son in FULL CLOTHING ran into the sprinklers. rather than trip, i laughed and let him enjoy the freedom. his clothes got wet, big deal, he had a blast, and hopefully it will be something he remembers as he grows older. Good memories are the currency of your legacy. Some come naturally and some you have to make on your own. Go make memories.
