From an old post…METHODS
May 17, 2008
was looking for something and found this from an Integrity Chapel:
What methods are you using that stopped working a yesterday, a week ago, a month ago or longer? 12-27 year olds, the “millennial” generation, are the largest population in history. If you want to succeed long term, and leave something that lasts, we had better start asking ourselves how to meet the needs of THAT generation. Enjoy today, celebrate yesterday, change for tomorrow.
Hottest MC

Last week, Tony Morgan posted about how big Hip Hop and R&B music are in the pop world, yet not in the worship world. 70% of all urban music is purchased by suburban white kids. Here is MTV’s list of the top ten MC’s currently in Hip Hop. JAY and I grew up on this music. LOVE IT. It is a lot different now than when Rakim and LL did their thing….here is the list of who your kids are listening to…RIGHT NOW.
1) Kanye West
2) Jay-Z
3) Lil’ Wayne
4) Rick Ross
5) Snoop Dogg
6) 50 Cent
7) Lupe Fiasco
Young Jeezy
9) Andre 3000
10) T.I.

Facebook is undergoing a redesign, (probably biting the redesign by TONY MORGAN). One of the primary reasons Facebook is undergoing the overhaul is complaints that it is to hard to use and “it is getting to much like MySpace. Interesting. Not trying to be like the leader in the field, but dive into the Blue Ocean and find out what is specific and unique to Facebook users and fans.
If you want me to tell you the truth…

Yesterday JayKING and I had a long conversation about honesty, being transparent, and how it is difficult to remain in this posture. This morning, I was reading this article, from Phil Cookes blog, about meetings with honesty.
If you are not willing to ask and answer the hard questions, you probably are not truly willing to go to the next level in leadership, growth, development, or success. These questions hurt. They call out your insecurities. They force you to deal with problems and not glaze over them in an effort to create an artificial culture. It is more dangerous to NOT deal with these honest truths than it is to uncover them, deal with them, fix them (regardless of cost) and then move forward.

Here is the hotel playlist for The Whiteboard Sessions conference. This is going to be a good time. Props to Steve McCoy on the creation of the list and his rad musical taste. Between Steve and Jay, music mondays will never be the same!

I have gone through seasons where blogging was not fun. Seasons when blogging was a release. Seasons of great blog joy and seasons when I probably should have not blogged at all. But I dig blogging. I blog now for fun. I have developed some great relationships out of blogging and have experienced some killer people and things because of the blog. Just wanted to share. Why do you blog?
